I am Grace Mize, a wedding & portrait photographer based in Maine & available for travel worldwide.
so a little about me, I live with my lovely boyfriend, Chris along with our 2 cats in Portland, Maine. when I am not behind the camera, I love obsessing over week to week television, baking for my loved ones, going for walks, & taking film photos! I am a huge traveller & will always jump at the chance to bring as many of my cameras as I can to a new destination!
I bring a documentary storytelling angle to all lovely humans I get the opportunity to photograph. with 9 years of experience under my belt, my goal is to bring you photos that you can feel, photos that will hang on the walls of your home for generations. I aim to capture images that bring a moment to life, and can preserve your memories for years to come. I fell in love with photography as a child by taking photos of my friends & family, & then eventually for the seniors in high school I knew graduating, & my business just grew from there!
weddings are my favorite thing to shoot nowadays because capturing the most important day of someone’s life is the most rewarding thing you can do as a photographer. my approach is to take a step back and capture things as they happen so you can remember those moments as they happened in real life. I don’t want your wedding day to feel like a photoshoot and I don’t want to orchestrate moments that don’t feel natural to you and your day. preserving these memories is my priority, as well as capturing the day with photos you can hold onto forever.
my portfolio spans across various genres of photography, including wedding photography, travel photography, portrait photography, and product photography for The Container Store and Michael’s. I am well versed in both digital and film photography, and I am constantly learning new techniques and styles to push the boundaries of my art.
